Marc Mancinelli, Ed.D. | Founder and President, DLA
Dr. Marc Mancinelli has worked to improve outcomes for students, teachers, and administrators since beginning his career in education in 2000.
Dr. Mancinelli continues this work in his leadership as founder and president of the South Jersey Data Leaders Partnership (SJDLP). The SJDLP is a non-profit dedicated to professional learning, networking, and advocacy for educators who wish to build their capacity as data leaders. Since 2016, the SJDLP has been a leader in data leadership professional development for educators in New Jersey.
As a high school English teacher Dr. Mancinelli was a leader in implementing a standards-driven curriculum in which students learned to master not only the NJSLS, but also key 21st century skills. As a supervisor and assistant principal, Dr. Mancinelli helped teachers in all disciplines meet student performance goals through aligned curriculum, assessment, and instruction practices. In his current role as Director of Curriculum and Instruction, Dr. Mancinelli scales his work at the classroom and building levels up throughout the Pre-K-12 district.
As an NJDOE data specialist, Dr. Mancinelli helped districts and schools create and sustain data-reflexive teams of educators who expanded their capacity not only for data analysis, but also for putting data into action and "teaching differently tomorrow based on what we learned today."
Dr. Mancinelli is an adjunct professor at The College of New Jersey and teaches data-based decision making and research methods. He is also the president of the Camden County Curriculum Consortium.
Dr. Mancinelli holds a doctorate in education from the University of Pennsylvania with a concentration in teaching, learning, curriculum, and educational leadership.
